The Hospital Clínic and the Ministry of Health of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic have signed an agreement that will allow the implementation of a cooperation project to strengthen the Sahrawi health system through teledermatology and pharmaceutical support. According to Dr. Antoni Castells, Clínic medical director, “this signature allows us to formalize a very good relationship and that will enable us to channel new projects.”
The agreement provides support and consultation to the Saharawi refugee camps through teledermatology. This technology allows the exchange of medical information through telematic systems, so Clinic can offer diagnostics and proposals for treatments for skin diseases. In addition, it is also envisaged the development of a Farmacoterpèutica guide focused on dermatology.
